Lip Blush Tattooing
A cosmetic tattoo that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. Some of the benefits include lips that look more defined without fillers, restores color to pale lips, camouflages scars and hypo-pigmentation, and may eliminate the daily use of pencils to outline, fill in or reshape lip borders.

Before arriving to your lip appointment...

  • VERY IMPORTANT: If you have ever had a fever blister or a COLD SORE, you will need an antiviral prescription from your doctor before the lip procedure. You must take Zovirax, Valtrex, or other antiviral pre and post procedure to prevent the outbreak of cold sores. Physicians usually instruct to take it 3 days before, the day of the procedure and 3 days afterwards. This procedure will bring out the virus if not medicated beforehand. Even if you have not had a breakout in the past the virus could be dormant within you and an antiviral is still recommended.

  • Do not take medications or supplements such as aspirin, niacin, vitamin e, fish oil, or ibuprofen for 24 hours before procedure

  • No blood thinners 3 days prior to your procedure (consult your physician)

  • Fillers or Botox should be done 6 weeks prior to your procedure and 2 weeks after your procedure

  • No Sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure

  • Do not have a tan/sunburn on your face prior to your procedure

  • You MUST be off Retin-A, Retinol, or Retinods for 30 days prior to your procedure and avoid using on or around the treated area indefinitely. If used, it can cause the pigments to fade prematurely and change color.

  • You must to be off of Accutane, radiation and chemotherapy treatments for 1 year; no exceptions

  • If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind in or around the area of the procedure, the procedure will be rescheduled until the blemish or area of concern is gone

  • Moles , scars, and other skin imperfections can effect the treatment; consultation encouraged.

  • No alcohol the night before or caffeine the day of your procedure; consumption will cause more swelling, bleeding and sensitivity during the procedure and may cause poor retention of pigment

  • Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle (ladies)

  • You are welcome to come with your makeup done for before and after photos
